Cruiser Canyon Trail
Well here we are in the second part of Cruiser Canyon , I
chose to go last as I don't have any lockers or 33's as are
recomended for this trail. ...Ever wondered what angle a Cruiser
rolls over at ?.....Well trust me not much more than this !
This is one of the biggest obstacles on the
trail !.
What am I talking about you say ?. Have a look at the guy
standing at the right front wheel in the blue t-shirt.... Yep
One last look for me to make sure that I've picked the right
line as there are no second chances here for me.The picture does not
do justice to this rock face as it is not a straight drop but is staggered
to
the right of the photo. Notice how the left front tyre is on the edge but
the right front tyre is about 2-3 feet behind it.There is no space on the
left of the tree to get a better approach angle. The pile of rocks
was placed ther by the first vehicle on the trail , He has 33's and Detroit
lockers front and rear and power steering and 3" lift springs.
Made it !. It's a wild sensation to drive out into space about 2-3
feet
and then have the left of the rig tilt down about 4 foot until it touches
the ground then the right drops down about 4 1/2 to 5 foot all in the
space of the length of the rig. This is with out a doubt the hardest rock
trail I've ever been on. I know there are much harder trails around but
bear in mind that this is a 3.0 L 4 Cyl Diesel with a output of 90 hp at
4200 Rpm with no lift no lockers and 31 in tyres.
The trail does not finish here but unfortunately my film did :-((
